Qualifications

• Assistance in all dietary functions per policy and procedures.
• Follow sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Assist in serving meals and setting up trays.
• Coordinate with the Dietitian and Dietary Supervisor as needed.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing at designated meal times.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room as instructed.
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Assists in serving meals and preparing/delivering snacks.
• Delivers food carts and trays to designated areas as directed.
• Executes diet spreadsheets as instructed and required.
• Cleans work tables, blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and utensils.
• Works with the facility’s dietitian/supervisor and implements changes as required.
• Ensures dietary procedures comply with established policies.
• Keeps food and supplies for next meal readily available.
• Assists in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Participates in departmental studies and projects as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Dietary Supervisor.
