Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Burnsville, NC, is seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals to residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.

The role supports residents' nutritional well-being and quality of life, with a full-time 12pm-8pm shift every other weekend. We offer competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of special diets and food allergies is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to posted menus and dietary restrictions.
• Set up dining areas and deliver trays to residents’ rooms as needed.
• Ensure all kitchen and dining areas are clean, organized, and meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment used in meal preparation and service.
• Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing food and supplies.
• Follow proper food handling, portioning, and storage procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers to promote a positive dining experience.
• Report any issues with food quality, resident concerns, or kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with all regulations and facility policies.
