Job summary

The Viridian is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and support nutritious meals for residents. You will help prepare, portion, and serve meals according to dietary plans while maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area.

Strong teamwork and a customer-focused attitude are essential to create a positive dining experience. Experience in food service is preferred but not required; a high school diploma is required, with a strong emphasis on food safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a food service role preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, portioning, and serving according to dietary plans.
• Maintain kitchen and dining cleanliness and sanitation.
• Provide meal assistance and ensure positive dining experiences.
• Follow food safety protocols in storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Assist in inventory and notify shortages.
• Collaborate with dietary team to run kitchen and dining operations.
• Fulfill residents' dietary requests.
