Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in food service is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and utensils.
• Provide meal assistance to residents; assist with setup and serving for a positive dining experience.
• Follow all food safety protocols including storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Fulfill special dietary requests and meet individual resident needs during meals.
