Oak Hills Nursing is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our dietary services in providing safe, nutritious meals to residents. You will follow established policies, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with inter-department staff to ensure dietary needs are met with warmth and efficiency.

You will participate in meal preparation, serving, and sanitation activities while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards; on-the-job training is provided.

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing.
• Assist in serving meals and observe sanitation/safety requirements.
• Serve food according to established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with policies.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Carry soiled utensils to wash area and return clean utensils to storage.
• Wash and clean utensils as directed, including sharp utensils.
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc.
• Assist cook in preparing meals.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning and ensure utensils are available.
