Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Full-Time Dietary Aide to support our dietary services department. This role plays a key part in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while maintaining all sanitation and food safety standards.

Pay range is $17.08-$17.18 per hour. Flexible scheduling is available; on-site dining service duties include meal prep, tray delivery, dining room setup, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior dietary or food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, lifting, and bending.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to planned menus and resident dietary needs.
• Deliver meal trays and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Set up and break down dining areas before and after meals.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
• Follow all infection control, food safety, and facility policies.
• Assist with storing food supplies and rotating stock as needed.
• Provide respectful and compassionate service to residents, visitors, and staff.
