Qualifications

• High School graduate with preferred institutional dietary experience.
• Able to read and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and tray cards.
• Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions.
• Numerical accuracy for measuring cleaning agents and ingredients.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination for daily tasks.
• Flexible hours, including emergency coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow long-term care regulations and department policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain sanitation.
• Assist with tray cards, food carts, and meal service.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report equipment issues and supply needs.
• Follow infection control and HIPAA policies.
• Treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Adhere to safety and disaster procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
