Job summary

Rutland Center For Living and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary services team. You will assist in preparing and serving meals to residents according to dietary needs and help maintain a clean, sanitary dining area.

Strong teamwork and reliability are valued as you support the dietary manager and kitchen staff, follow safety guidelines, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure quality dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Healthcare or food service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Compassionate and respectful demeanor toward elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and meal service following menus, dietary restrictions, and portion control guidelines.
• Set up dining areas and deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures as per state and federal guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Support the dietary manager and kitchen staff in daily operations.
