Job summary

Troy Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking compassionate Dietary Aides to join our dietary services team in Troy, Ohio. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, welcoming environment.

The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, service, sanitation and dining room operations while following health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate supports seniors with friendly, reliable care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in dietary, food service, restaurant, or healthcare is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be reliable and maintain regular attendance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down dining areas before and after meals.
• Deliver meal trays to residents and assist with meal service as needed.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining areas, and food storage areas.
• Follow food safety and infection control procedures.
• Assist with stocking supplies and rotating inventory.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Ensure residents receive courteous and respectful service at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Administrator.
