Job summary

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking a Dietary Associate to perform routine dietary department duties, including food preparation, meal service, cleaning and compliance with CMS guidelines. The role supports the Registered Dietitian and Center Manager in delivering safe, nutritious meals to participants.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, ServSafe certification, CPR, and experience with elderly populations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in long term care or hospital food service preferred.
• Basic computer skills (MS Outlook and MS Word) required.
• Experience working with frail or elderly population preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets parameters.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food and serving meals, snacks, beverages and nutrition supplements.
• Prepare meals according to diet orders and ensure timely service.
• Wash, sanitize and store dishes and adaptive feeding equipment.
• Receive and store food and supplies and label food properly.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to the RD.
• Follow safety, infection control and chemical handling policies.
• Perform cleaning duties and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Take daily attendance and prepare tray tickets.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
