City of Grand Forks is hiring a Dial-a-Ride Driver to safely operate public transit vehicles and assist senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The driver will perform vehicle checks, fuel and prepare the vehicle for daily service, and maintain accurate fare reports.

The role requires adherence to safety, customer service, and legal standards, along with a valid driver’s license. You will communicate professionally with dispatch and passengers while ensuring a positive public image.

Competenze

• 1 year experience in passenger transportation, human services, or related field
• Completion of the twelfth grade
• Possession of a valid driver’s license

Mansioni

• Provide transportation for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
• Operate vehicle safely and obey traffic regulations.
• Fuel and prepare vehicle for daily service; inspect; fill fluids; spot clean; wash as needed; report damage.
• Report mechanical concerns to maintenance personnel.
• Perform fare collection and complete daily reports.
• Follow dispatch directions, adhere to trip manifest, and use two-way radio professionally.
• Project positive image to the public and provide exceptional customer service.
