Job summary

Novant Health in Huntersville, NC is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and support physicians in procedures. You will independently acquire high-quality images and document findings in the EMR, delivering accurate results to the care team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiography or sonography required or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in sonography.
• NH Medical Center-certified and ARRT in Sonography or ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging and provide procedural support with physicians.
• Independently complete detailed ultrasound exams with appropriate imaging techniques.
• Assist with ultrasound guidance during procedures and other diagnostics.
• Review images for quality, repeat or adjust studies as needed.
• Document patient history, imaging results, and procedural details in the EMR.
• Communicate significant findings promptly to providers.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and disinfect probes per infection prevention standards.
• Explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate, calm patient experience.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to support clinic operations.
• Participate in training, meetings, and improvement initiatives.
