Job summary

Novant Health in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Breast Sonographer for our Outpatient Imaging team. You will prepare patients and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans, collaborating with radiologists and clinicians to support patient-centered care.

Requirements include ARDMS certification in Breast Sonography (RDMS, BR), state licensure, and a CAAHEP-recognized program; 1 year breast sonography experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree preferred; graduate of a CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program required.
• 1 year of breast sonography experience preferred.

Facility: NHI Julian Road (Outpatient Imaging) | Location: Salisbury, NC | Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:30PM)

What You'll Do

The Breast Sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
• Experience: One year of breast sonography experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered by ARDMS in Breast Sonography – RDMS,BR,required. Applicable state license,required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement,required.
• Additional Skills (required): Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates sonography equipment.
