Job summary

Qualifications

• ARDMS/ARRT(S) certification is required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program is preferred.
• BLS certification is required by policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and optimizes technique for efficiency in the department.
• Supports Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver to meet patient needs.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer and/or Engineer.
• Operates the Radiology computer system to enter and charge exams and supplies.
• Maintains assigned work area neatly and stocked.
• Adheres to departmental rules and maintains professional conduct at all times.
