Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Two years of ultrasound experience (preferred).
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams per department protocol (abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, endovaginal, small parts, vascular, neonatal brain, portable, invasive procedures).
• Operate ultrasound equipment, controls, transducers, and image analysis tools to obtain quality images.
• Evaluate images for quality and adjust settings to optimize results for physician interpretation.
• Review patient history and prior studies to document findings and interval changes.
• Document and report exam results accurately in the chart and system.
• Assist in training radiology residents in performing ultrasound examinations.
• Maintain department efficiency by managing patient flow, supplies, and clerical tasks.
