Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity, review the requested examination, and document information for accuracy and safety.
• Explain imaging procedures clearly, meeting language needs and promoting comfort.
• Prepare and operate radiographic equipment, selecting factors to produce quality images with ALARA considerations.
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures per protocols and radiologist instructions.
• Review images for quality, label correctly, and transmit to PACS.
