Job summary

The San Mateo County Dental Clinics seek dedicated Dental Assistants and Registered Dental Assistants to support diverse communities across five clinics and a mobile unit. Candidates should be prepared to work at any clinic, with patient care taking priority and a collaborative team environment.

Ideal applicants hold a California RDA license, strong chairside skills, digital X-ray proficiency, and EMR experience (EPIC). BLS certification is a plus; Spanish-speaking ability is desirable.

Qualifications

• Valid California RDA license required.
• Experience with chairside assisting and digital X-rays.
• Proficiency in sterile technique and sterilization.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
• BLS certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take, develop and mount dental X-rays; maintain X-ray room cleanliness.
• Prepare patients for exams, treatments, or surgery and set up trays.
• Maintain dental records, schedule appointments, and manage charts.
• Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of procedures.
• Assist with nitrous sedation under supervision and support expanded functions.
