Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• State Dental Assistant license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists dental hygienists with procedures when necessary.
• Records treatment information in patient records.
• Exposes dental x-rays and cares for dental x-ray equipment.
• Provides patients with information on dental hygiene and oral health.
• Collects and records medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Delivers postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Orders dental supplies and maintains equipment inventory.
• Fabricates temporary restorations and impressions from preliminary impressions.
