Job summary

Lorain County Health & Dentistry in North Ridgeville, OH is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join a collaborative team and support patient care. This role emphasizes four‑handed dentistry, room preparation, and accurate recordkeeping to ensure excellent service.

You will assist with procedures, review patient histories, maintain infection control, and uphold HIPAA guidelines while helping deliver compassionate, high‑quality dental care to our community.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed a dental assistant program and Ohio Radiograph permit eligibility.
• BLS certification required; valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a dental care guide and ensure patient comfort.
• Welcome and drape patients; review medical/oral history.
• Record vital signs and educate patients on oral health.
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment following protocols.
• Demonstrate proficiency in 4-handed dentistry across procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and HIPAA compliance.
• Support infection control standards throughout the facility.
