Rhode Island Hospital seeks a Dental Assistant who reports to the Clinical Dental Supervisor of Samuels Sinclair Dental Center and to its Practice Manager/Director. Under the supervision of staff dentists, you will follow established policies and procedures to assist dentists and dental hygienists.

Formación

• Completion of an approved Dental Assistant program and certification by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc.
• 3,500 hours of approved work experience and x-ray certification from an accredited program.
• Clerical skills to maintain dental records and assist the dentist and hygienist.

Responsabilidades

• Set up instruments, materials and supplies for procedures.
• Update medical history and monitor patient vitals as needed.
• Explain procedures and provide patient education on hygiene and post-care.
• Assist dentists and hygienists across a range of procedures including oral surgery and restorative work.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain dental equipment and supplies.
