Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois is seeking a qualified behavioral health professional to conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop discharge plans, and coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team.

You will ensure HIPAA compliance, accurate documentation in EHRs, and maintain ethical practice while supporting diverse patient needs. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mental or behavioral health required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in mental/behavioral health.
• Background check clearance required.
• Successful completion of IM-CATS training and credentialing exam.
• Licensure in mental/behavioral health preferred.
• Experience providing and coordinating a wide scope of services with emphasis on continuity of care.
• Experience in an emergency department setting preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and other insurances preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA/privacy and documentation standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
