Job summary

Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our care team on a full-time day shift. You will help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized therapy and hands-on support.

Responsibilities include collaborative evaluation with the OT, assisting with daily tasks, guiding therapeutic activities, and maintaining confidentiality within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Florida State COTA License – Required
• Experience in long-term care – Preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Evaluation & Planning: Partner with the Occupational Therapist to assess residents and create individualized treatment plans.
• Support Daily Functioning: Assist residents in performing daily tasks that promote independence and well-being.
• Therapy Assistance: Guide and monitor residents during therapeutic activities to ensure safety and progress.
• Rehabilitation Focus: Help residents recover and regain function following illness, injury, or surgery.
• Confidentiality & Ethics: Handle all resident information with the utmost respect and confidentiality.
• Team Engagement: Work closely with our interdisciplinary care team to support optimal outcomes.

Education

Current Florida State COTA License – Required
