Job summary

Pioneer Ridge Assisted Living is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with current standards and policies. The role involves following planned menus, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring correct dietary standards are met for residents.

You will work within a team to maintain food safety, sanitation, and timely meal service while upholding resident dignity and confidentiality. This position requires adherence to infection control policies and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours including weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community's policies and procedures.
• Report abuse/neglect to Executive Director, RCC or Charge Nurse on Duty.
• Treat residents, family members and staff with respect and dignity.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Prepare meals per planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diets are served.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining food service production lines.
