Job summary

City Scape Rehabilitation and Care Center in Denver, CO is seeking a caring Cook to join our Skilled Nursing Facility Dietary Services Team. This role offers growth opportunities in a compassionate, patient‑focused environment.

You will prepare and serve meals according to menus, monitor food handling and safety, and help maintain quality nutrition for residents. The position is full‑time with benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Two years as cook in a large-scale cooking operation, preferred.
• One year’s work experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Reviews menus, census information, production guides to determine food quantities.
• Prepares and serves food safely following guidelines and regulations.
• Assists with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the supervisor.
• Operates kitchen equipment and ensures on-time meal service.
• Monitors food temperatures and maintains cleanliness per policy.
