Roscoe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Roscoe, NY seeks a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents, following recipes and therapeutic diets. Full-Time or Part-Time shifts available; $18/hour.

Join a team that emphasizes quality, safety, and resident satisfaction in a welcoming kitchen. Responsibilities include food handling, inventory support, maintaining sanitation, and guiding Dietary Aides when needed.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Culinary School graduate preferred
• 6 months kitchen experience required
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and HACCP preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen

Mansioni

• Prepare and serve menu items according to production sheets and therapeutic diets
• Ensure proper food handling, portion control, labeling, dating, and temperature monitoring
• Assist with inventory management and stock of food and supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen following safety procedures
• Prepare meals for special events and functions as needed
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report hazards or maintenance concerns
• Provide guidance to Dietary Aides in the absence of supervisory staff
• Support quality improvement initiatives and compliance with facility policies
