Job summary

Vitality Living is seeking a Cook for Aspire at West End Community to prepare nutritious, appealing meals per menus and production records while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. You will contribute to a warm, supportive environment for residents and colleagues, with onboarding and ongoing training.

This full-time role requires at least two years of institutional cooking experience, strong English communication, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain food handler permits and relevant state regulations.
• Understand food safety procedures, sanitation of equipment measures, and storage techniques.
• Meet state health-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review of menus and Daily Food Production Records for instructions
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive according to company menus
• Adhere to proper procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food promptly
• Clean kitchen after meals according to cleaning schedule, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors
• Attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services, and team member meetings as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef
