Job summary

Smith Farms in Hamburg, MI is seeking a Cook to join our senior living team. You will prepare meals for residents using standardized recipes, assist with inventory and kitchen cleanup, and help ensure food safety and high-quality service for our residents.

The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and ability to multitask. Prior experience with large-scale meal prep (20+ servings) and menu planning is preferred but not required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in menu planning.
• Experience cooking 20+ meals at a time.
• Food safety knowledge preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow directions, dependability, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents using standardized recipes.
• Assist with menu planning experience.
• Cook meals in large quantities (20+ servings) and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist in kitchen cleanup after service.
• Help manage kitchen inventory.
• Follow directions and maintain accuracy, organization, and safety.
• Demonstrate caring, compassion, and willingness to learn.
