Job summary

Meridian Senior Living in Orlando is seeking a compassionate Cook to support our dining program for 32 hours per week. You will work with the Dining Services Manager to order, prepare, and deliver nutritious meals while upholding kitchen sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Food Handler Permit, and related experience; strong teamwork and communication with residents, families, and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete training as required by State regulations.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
• Must pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver nutritious meals and snacks for residents.
• Order food, manage supplies, and coordinate with the Dining Services Manager.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and food safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
