Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Fargo, ND is seeking a friendly Cook to assemble, prepare, season, and portion food for patients and residents. You will follow standardized recipes, maintain sanitation, and operate kitchen equipment. A high school diploma is preferred; Serv Safe and BLS may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions; basic math.
• Six months of applicable kitchen experience preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• BLS may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible
• Follows standardized recipes and guidelines for cooks to prepare, store and use food
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
• Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation
• Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, food grinders, and more
