Job summary

American House Senior Living Communities is seeking a Cook to provide high-quality, balanced meals for Residents and Guests in a warm, community setting. You will work hands-on in the kitchen and dining room, following menus, safety standards, and management direction to deliver daily culinary experiences.

Qualifications include basic culinary skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a Serve Safe Certification; background check and TB test are required; minimum age 18; no formal education

• Basic culinary skills and ability to cook from scratch.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy while serving.
• Must pass a background check and TB test.
• Must obtain and maintain a Serve Safe Certification.
• No formal education requirement.
• Minimum 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with high-quality meals and beverages.
• Help produce varied, creative, nutritious menus considering resident requests.
• Manage schedules and cleaning tasks for Front and Back of the House.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation per State Health Department regulations.
• Prepare for special events in coordination with leadership.
• Wear proper uniform daily and follow the employee handbook.
