Job summary

Folkston Park Care and Rehab is seeking a Cook / Dietary Aide to support daily meal preparation for residents. You will follow planned menus, prepare therapeutic diets, and ensure accurate portioning and safe food handling in a respectful, elder-friendly environment.

Responsibilities include tray assembly, maintaining kitchen hygiene, documenting temperatures, and helping with dishwashing and general cleanliness while complying with HIPAA and resident privacy guidelines.

Qualifications

• At Least (1) Year Experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Desire to work with the elderly.
• Be a self starter.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and/or pre-proportion food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Follows proper food handling and safety techniques and maintains infections control procedures.
• Ensuring food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner and at proper temperatures.
• Records food temps, refrigerator and freezer temps.
• Assembles trays according to the planned menu and diet orders and checks for accuracy.
• Follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Cleans, washes and sanitizes dishes, flatware and utensils.
• Maintains general cleanliness of the dishwashing area.
• Puts up stock in food storage areas and refrigerators.
