Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, KY is hiring a Cook for the Nutrition Services Team. This full-time, 32-hour position on the 2nd shift focuses on preparing meals for patients and staff using standardized recipes, proper portioning, and quality checks.

You will work 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with Wednesday availability preferred, and maintain food safety while supporting production and service across our facility.

Qualifications

• 12 months in food service preparation.
• Ability to read with comprehension and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Non-exempt (FLSA) status as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals following standardized recipes.
• Cook using techniques such as sautéing, grilling, baking, steaming.
• Read orders; portion, garnish, and serve food in a timely manner.
• Monitor equipment; report maintenance needs and safe operation.
• Ensure food safety: labeling, dating, and proper storage.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work area; adhere to sanitation standards.
• Support quality improvements and compliance with regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
