Job summary

Union County Ohio is seeking a dedicated Transportation Aide to support clients by safely transporting them to services. This role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and professional conduct in daily interactions with residents and families.

The position requires a high school diploma, good verbal and written communication, attendance, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and assist clients in/out of vehicles. Training and a respectful team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Normal hearing and vision, with corrective devices as needed.
• Regular and predictable attendance is expected.
• Represents the agency professionally in all interactions with clients and the public.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned vehicle to transport clients to services.
• Assist clients into and out of vehicles and maintain safe lifting practices.
• Transport clients to County facilities and ensure timely arrivals.
• Provide courteous customer service and comply with safety policies.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and maintain logs/reports.
• Attend required training and team/department meetings.
• Maintain vehicle fleet cleanliness and upkeep, including maintenance logs.
