The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to maintain mileage and fuel records, while conducting daily vehicle inspections and upholding safety protocols. Night/weekend shifts may be required to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate vehicles safely in various conditions.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills to maintain records.
• Physical ability to load, unload, and carry supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle to transport unhoused individuals.
• Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs, follow routes, communicate route changes.
• Assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle while observing safety protocols.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and document mileage, fuel usage, and service dates.
• Engage with clients respectfully, protecting dignity and privacy.
• Support warming center staff with transportation logistics as needed.
