Job summary

Sevita’s Mentor Community Services seeks compassionate caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. You’ll help with daily living, personal care, and participation in community activities.

The role emphasizes patient, reliable care, with opportunities for growth and development within a mission-driven team. A high school diploma and driver’s license are required, with at least six months in human services preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills are essential.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible behaviours are valued.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Help participants participate in community activities and social events.
• Manage care tasks with care planning and supervisory guidance as needed.
