Job summary

Mentor Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is hiring caregivers in the United States to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll build real relationships, provide compassionate care, and help participants grow and engage in meaningful activities.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and six months of human services experience is preferred. Valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
