Job summary

Spring Creek Nursing and Rehab in Joliet, IL seeks a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant to support nurses in delivering daily resident care, focusing on comfort, safety, and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, taking vital signs, and documenting in the EMR; maintaining infection control; responding promptly to call lights; and aiding in transfers and activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Certified Nurse's Assistant certificate in the State of Illinois.
• A high school diploma is preferred.
• Must have the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for well-being and nursing care of all residents assigned to his/her unit while on duty.
• Take vital signs and monthly weights (with assistance) and record results in EMR.
• Document the following in the EMR for all assigned residents: vital signs, weight, meal monitoring, bowel and bladder, restorative records.
• Carry out assignments for resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, feeding, restorative nursing procedures and retraining.
• Keep residents' bed, dresser, bathroom, and general living area clean and tidy.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Report any changes in resident's condition to the charge nurse of the unit.
