Job summary
The Masonic Home Covina is seeking a caring Certified Nursing Assistant to assist residents with daily living activities, baths, grooming, feeding, and mobility while maintaining dignity and privacy. You will follow care plans, document accurately, and support infection control in a team-focused environment.
Ideal candidates have CNA certification, BLS, and at least 6 months in a skilled nursing setting, with strong English communication and regulatory awareness.
Qualifications
- Completion of CNA program and active CNA certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 6 months experience in a skilled nursing facility.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting) per plans.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and recording oral intake.
- Assist in transfers and mobility using proper techniques.
- Monitor residents and report changes to nurse.
- Ensure privacy, dignity, and infection control compliance.
- Prepare rooms, supplies, and assist with admission/discharge tasks.
- Attend in-services and follow department policies.
