Job summary

Masonic Home Covina is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist professional staff with resident care and nonprofessional services in a long-term care setting. The assistant will perform baths, grooming, feeding, and toileting, while maintaining resident dignity and privacy under supervisor guidance.

The role requires completion of a CNA program, active CNA certification, and a current BLS certification, with experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nurse Aide program.
• Active and current C.N.A. Certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting) as directed by supervisor.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and recording intake.
• Help with transferring, lifting, and safe patient handling.
• Monitor vitals and report changes to nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of residents and facility information.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
