Tenet Healthcare Corporation seeks a patient care support role to provide basic and intermediate nursing care under RN supervision. The position supports General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child, Nursery, Pediatric, GI Lab, ER and Surgical Services, spanning neonatal to adult patients.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: nurse aide course, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assistant
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of clinical experience (Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Skilled Nursing Unit)
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, EKG tech certification required
• REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS: BLS and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of hire/transfer

Responsibilities

• Under the direction/supervision of RN, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence.
• Care across General Nursing Units for patients aged 15 years to maturity.
• Care across Special Care Areas for 15 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
• Maternal Child Units include Labor and Delivery care.
• Nursery care for newborns; Pediatric care up to age 18.
• GI Lab Unit, Emergency, Surgical Services support across ages.
