Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join our compassionate team. You will support residents with daily living activities under the supervision of the Unit Manager and Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program.
• Current California CNA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Strong understanding of written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to support residents’ daily care needs while maintaining dignity and resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, nutrition, activity, rest, and elimination in a safe and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment by supporting proper ventilation, lighting, and furniture arrangements.
• Promote residents’ dignity and uphold resident rights, including freedom from abuse and restraints.
• Report any signs of abuse or rights violations immediately to the Charge Nurse or appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and their care.
• Follow individualized care plans and assist in providing restorative nursing care as directed.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes in behavior, appearance, or physical ability to the Charge Nurse or Unit Manager.
