Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have current Nurse Aide certification and be in good standing with the State of Texas Nurse Aide Registry.
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and dignity.
• Ensure resident safety.
• Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and provide nail care as assigned.
• Follow resident assignment schedule as directed by the charge nurse.
• Lift, move and transfer residents as required.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Assist or feed residents.
• Keep residents clean and dry, assist with toileting or incontinent care.
• Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
