Job summary

Jackson Memorial Perdue Medical Center in Miami, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts. The CNA will perform basic nursing care, assist residents with ADLs, and support nursing leadership in providing quality care to residents in a county hospital setting.

Required are a high school diploma, completion of an approved CNA program, and a Florida CNA certificate; BLS may be required at the unit level upon hire and maintained during employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program.
• Valid Florida Nursing Assistant Certificate required.
• AHA BLS/CPR may be required at unit level upon hire and maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical nursing assistant duties as assigned by unit or hospital leadership.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Ensures residents have adequate supplies and a clean, safe environment.
• Observes and reports residents' condition changes to the Charge Nurse.
• Responds to call lights and communicates needs to nursing staff.
• Transports residents to activities, therapies and appointments as needed.
