Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare in Lewiston, ID is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our fast-paced post-acute rehab team. You will support residents with daily living activities and assist the care team to promote safe, home-like recovery.

Under supervision, CNAs provide basic nursing assistance, document care activities, monitor vital signs, and participate in care planning to help residents regain independence and return home. CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
• CPR certificate preferred.
• Six months experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair and incontinence care.
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with eating.
• Assists residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchair.
• Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assists resident with ambulation as indicated.
• Takes and records vital signs as directed.
• Documents ADLs, personal cares and device use on flow sheets.
• Attends interdisciplinary meetings to provide input into care plans.
• Documents restorative services following facility policies.
• Provides person-centered care and maintains resident confidentiality.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for shifts.
