Job summary

WorkFit Medical, LLC is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our healthcare team on a per diem basis in New York. The CNA will provide high-quality, hands-on care and support to residents and patients, promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and works well as part of a team. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility, and documentation per facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in New York State is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous healthcare or long-term care experience is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.
• Must meet physical requirements including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Take and record vital signs and other patient information as directed.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents/patients.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
• Assist with meals and monitor food and fluid intake as needed.
• Provide compassionate emotional and social support.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and infection-control guidelines.
• Accurately document care provided.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
