Job summary

Central Queens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health status, and document care using SigmaCare. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality patient care.

The CNA will support nurses and staff across shifts, maintain a safe, clean environment, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with care standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have current NY CNA certification.
• Experience in caregiving or patient care settings is desirable.
• Familiarity with SigmaCare is a plus.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residents with daily living activities, including meals, turning, ambulation, and providing fluids and nourishment.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Monitor and report health issues and vital signs to supervising nurse.
• Provide basic life support as needed and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean environment.
• Document care and procedures in SigmaCare and other health records.
• Assist with feeding and nutrition, bed making, and resident transport within the facility.
• Support nursing staff and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
