Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is offering a role for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient care team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support clerical duties to keep the department running efficiently.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, transporting patients, and helping with tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• For CNAs at Snowden in Fredericksburg: CPI within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ROM, ambulation, positioning, hygiene).
• Obtains urine/stool/sputum specimens and records vitals.
• Performs routine care tasks (oxygen setup, EKGs, suction, post-mortem care).
• Performs data entry and light clerical duties; supports patient registration and equipment coordination.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA

AHA BLS Provider CPR

CPI training within 90 days of hire (Snowden, Fredericksburg)
