Job summary

Alameda Health System in California is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine inpatient and outpatient care under supervision. You will assist with meals, hygiene, vital signs, mobility, and patient comfort, while observing and reporting changes to the nurse.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with training, BLS certification, and current CNA license. Experience in sub-acute or acute care is preferred; compensation includes a competitive hourly pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with additional training.
• Minimum of six months experience in a sub-acute or acute care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with meals, personal hygiene and incontinent care.
• Responds to call lights promptly and maintains patient comfort and safety.
• Obtains and sets up suction equipment, oxygen; assists with ambulation and transfers.
• Take vital signs and assist with examinations; transport patients as needed.
• Provide one-to-one observation as a sitter when required.
• Prepare exam rooms in outpatient settings and assist clinicians.
