Alameda Health System in California is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to perform para-professional nursing tasks under supervision in inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will assist patients with meals, hygiene, vital signs, and basic treatments, support nursing staff, and help ensure patient comfort and safety. This role pays $32.04 to $38.69 per hour, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED; college graduate preferred.
• Six months para-professional nursing training or one year full-time experience in a hospital/medical facility.
• BLS - Basic Life Support Certification required; CPI Training may be required per unit/department policies.
• Current Nursing Assistant certification (required for certain hospitals).

Mansioni

• Assists patients with meals, hygiene and incontinent care; helps with catheterization and bladder irrigation.
• Assists RN and LVN in administering treatments; answers call lights and maintains patient comfort and safety.
• Obtains and sets up suction equipment; administers oxygen; aids in ambulation and positioning.
• Measures vital signs and performs simple tests; reports findings to supervising staff.
• Provides sitter duties when assigned, ensuring patient safety and basic needs are met.
