Job summary

Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, VA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision. You will perform treatments, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment while documenting care as required.

The role requires at least 1 year of acute health care experience and current CNA certification in Virginia, plus CPR/BLS certification. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior experience in an acute health care setting (preferred).
• Virginia CNA certification (required).
• CPR/BLS certification required or CPR/BLS Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the technology systems necessary for patient data collection.
• Demonstrates accountability for ensuring availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Maintains clean, safe and orderly work/patient environment by cleaning work stations/areas, equipment; stocking supplies; placing equipment in proper storage areas.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow plan of care to include performing treatments and procedures competently/independently under direction of RN/LPN.
